Importing Recipes from the Web

·Recipe Toolset Team

Found a great recipe on AllRecipes, Food Network, or a food blog? Instead of typing everything by hand, use Recipe Toolset's Import Recipe tool to pull in the details automatically.

How It Works

  1. Sign in to Recipe Toolset.
  2. Go to RecipesImport Recipe in the navigation.
  3. Paste the URL of the recipe page.
  4. Click Parse Recipe.
  5. Review the extracted title, ingredients, and instructions.
  6. Click Save as Draft to add it to your collection.

The tool uses structured data and smart parsing to identify ingredients, amounts, and steps. Results vary by site—some work better than others.

Best Results

The importer works best with popular recipe sites that use standard formats:

  • AllRecipes
  • Food Network
  • Epicurious
  • Bon Appétit
  • Taste of Home

Personal blogs may work too, but structure varies. If parsing fails, you can still create the recipe manually and paste the URL as a source reference.

After Importing

Imported recipes are saved as drafts. Edit them to fix any parsing errors, add your own notes, or adjust servings. The original URL is stored for attribution.

Import, adapt, and make it yours.
